2024 Barn Flea Market Opened May 6th! Saturdays 8-2 Sundays: 11-3 Wednesdays: 8-2, 5-7 One of the finest flea markets around! You will enjoy searching through the 90+ year old dairy barn (part of the original farmstead of the museum) for treasures you only dreamed about. The inventory changes weekly and is constantly being stocked, even during sale hours, by volunteers who make this shopping experience fun for all ages. Our goal is to supply the community with a place to recycle their household goods and to share those treasures with others. Donated items are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed as the Heritage Center is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Every penny raised through the Farmstead Flea Market goes directly to the museum for upkeep, programming, artifact collection and education. The Flea Market is 100% Volunteer driven! Heritage Hillside Series Schedule announced June 1, 2024 Wednesdays 6:30 pm - 8 pm Family Entertainment, different each week! Click on Events tab and then click on Hillside Series. 2024 Heritage Center's Farmers Market- Opens June 10 Every Saturday morning beginning in early June, the Heritage Center's parking lot is filled with vendors selling fruit and vegetables, as well as flowers, homemade crafts, bakery and other food items. Come early and make a morning of it. The New Richmond Cyclone Remembrance: Cyclone Open House - Wednesday, June 12, from 2-4 p.m June 12, 2024, will be the 125th anniversary of the New Richmond cyclone. We are remembering the lives lost and families affected. We are also celebrating the faith and perseverance of the people of New Richmond after the tornado to rebuild a town that was destroyed. The New Richmond Heritage Center has many photos that illustrate the devastation that took place. We also have a collection of artifacts that survived the cyclone, including Dr. Frank Epley’s surgical table. We are inviting the public to our Cyclone Open House on Wednesday, June 12, from 2-4 p.m. in the Sather Pavilion. Books about the New Richmond Cyclone will be available for purchase. Heritage Days - September 20 & 21, 2024 Step back in time at New Richmond's Heritage Days! Experience history up close as traditions come alive, all set against the picturesque backdrop of the Heritage Center Pioneer Village. This is more than a festival; it's a community gathering to revel in our shared heritage. Dive deep into history as volunteer guides walk you through various exhibits. Young ones can enjoy interactive activities, face painting, and a bouncy house. Revel in artisan presentations, stage coach rides, and exhibits ranging from wedding dresses to a rock display. The event promises music, food, and a unique blend of heritage and fun for all ages. Learn more about our Heritage Days. Christmas Luncheon Our Christmas Luncheon is back. Come and join us on December 6 in the Bell-Tierney Farmhouse for a home-cooked meal and fun. The meal includes entre with potatoes, salads, vegetable, breads, along with beverages and dessert.
