No reservations or tickets required. Donations will be gratefully accepted, used for renovations and repairs to Heritage Center buildings.
Pie and ice cream social will follow the program. Sara’s latest book, GROUNDING, a collection of narrative poetry and prose poems, will be offered for sale, with all proceeds donated to Heritage Center.
MEET THE PERFORMERS
Sara DeLuca is the author of three books of history and memoir, published by Minnesota Historical Society Press and University of Wisconsin Press. Her poetry has been published in three chapbooks as well as national and regional literary journals.
Christina Elias studied theatre at the California Institute of the Arts. She currently lives in Scandia, Minnesota where she operates an organic microfarm. Christina is excited to participate in this program, which combines her interests in farming, literature, and the performing arts. Lou and Kathy Williamson, of Amery, Wisconsin, have been serving their church, community, and surrounding area with musical and theatre performance for many decades. Kathy taught vocal music in the Amery School District. Lou was a funeral director for twenty-five years, prior to his second career as a high school science teacher.
Joseph Longo performed with the Minnesota Orchestra as principal clarinetist for forty years. He previously played with the Milwaukee Symphony and in European orchestras and continues to perform in the Twin Cities area as a soloist and chamber musician.
Susan Hellerud (Sara’s twin sister) served for 51 years on the piano faculty of MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. She has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout her long career.
