Heritage Center Celebrates Wisconsin Museums Week
Visit the New Richmond Heritage Center during Wisconsin Museums Week, May 14-20, and enter to win a commemorative Afghan. This statewide celebration focuses on the work and positive community impact that museums play in our community.
The Heritage Center Museum includes 9 historical building filled with artifacts from our past. The farmstead core of Victorian house and granary, both built in 1884, and barn, rebuilt in 1916, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum is open year around Mon - Fri 10 am to 4 pm.
This Friday, May 12th, The Heritage Center along with Friday Memorial Library and Community Ed will host a Downton Abbey Tea from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Vintage fashion encouraged. This is a free event, but space it limited, so registration is required.
Wisconsin is home to over 300 recognized museums, each devoted to preserving, honoring and enriching Wisconsin’s rich cultural heritage. These institutions large and small, from art museums to zoos, children’s museums to science centers, local history sites to college museums enhance communities and boost our economy.
