6/25/2018

Wednesday Evenings
6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
July 11th - August 22nd

Pack up a picnic, bring a blanket, a few lawn chairs, and make yourself comfortable by the bandstand at the Heritage Center. Each evening offers a unique performance and is always family friendly. No two nights will be the same; so don’t miss a single one. And it’s free! There will be pop and popcorn available for sale.

This series is made possible by the generous support of the Heritage Center, City of New Richmond, and the sponsors listed below with each event.

In case of inclement weather, we’ll move into the Pavilion, with limited seating.

Jodi Mealey

Tommy Bentz Band

This power trio has been in existence for more than 12 years, jamming in the style of what they like to call “the Allman Brothers meet Van Morrison.” These local guys grew up with
rock, blues, jazz and folk - we are delighted to have them share
their talents with us!

Pickin’ Up Steam

This terrific contemporary acoustic quartet uses guitar, mandolin, banjo, string bass and fiddle to bring you the best of traditional bluegrass, as well as some of their own original sounds! You’ll hear a wide variety of influences, including rock, jazz, latin, folk, country and bluegrass.
Sponsors: Edward Jones office of Tyson Lybeck and Pete Kling and New Richmond Area Community Foundation

August 1

Lehto & Wright

This group’s sound is a unique blend of traditional and modern styles. Taking cues from the Irish, English and American folk traditions and interpreting them with contemporary guitar-based arrangements, Lehto & Wright have taken a fresh approach to the world of folk and folk rock. Welcome!
Sponsors: Johnson Motors and Bernard’s

August 8

AcoustiHoo

Welcome back! A favorite every year! AcoustiHoo is the unlikely combination of violin, sax, acoustic guitar and upright bass, and vocals. Their amazing sound can be described as gypsy jazz, world-folk and Americana.

The Barley Jacks

Original songs and jaw–dropping instrumentals–these masters of the fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bass and drum meld their divergent backgrounds of blues and bluegrass, classical and Celtic, R & B and bebop to inspire each other and create
something entirely new. It’s Fiddle Wizardry!

August 22

Trigger Happy

Simply the best country music around! Get your cowboy hats
and boots out, you’ll be kicking and dancing to the great sounds of traditional and contemporary country songs, performed by this area’s favorite country band.
